Mail DVD Rental

By

Netflix is the juggernaut of mail DVD rental business these days, with retail biggies like Blockbuster scrambling to keep up. Increasingly, consumers are finding that they like the idea of being able to shop for movie rentals online and the DVD rental businesses are taking notice.

A Netflix membership costs just over $30 per month for three movies out at a time and unlimited rentals. Now, they have several more affordable deals, but the three out at a time plan seems to be the most popular. I myself split a six out at a time plan with my two roommates. Netflix has a great system that allows us each to keep our own queues. It will warn us if someone else in the household also has the same DVD on their

queue so that we don't have to rent it twice.

Even Wal-Mart has an internet DVD rental program. Though the rates are a little bit more affordable, the selection, quite frankly, sucks. Combined with the fact that Wal-Mart is the enemy of working class America and exploited workers in China, there's no way you'll get me to buy anything at Wal-Mart.

Blockbuster has an online mail DVD rental program as mentioned above. Their prices are reasonable, but their selection cannot compete with the selection of Netflix. Also, Blockbuster is notorious for releasing edited versions of movies. I don't know about you, but I don't appreciate a third party cutting out artists material or making my own decisions of what to watch for me.

As far as I'm concerned, Netflix is the biggest and most well known mail DVD rental program around. They started the online rental trend and they do it the best. Try it out for yourself. If you don't like the service you can discontinue at any time.
